Three Region Four men die of COVID-19

The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday announced that three Region Four men  who were infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have died while 35 additional cases have been confirmed.

In two separate statements yesterday, the Ministry revealed that three persons from Region Four had succumbed to COVID-19. The persons were only identified as a 44-year-old, a 73-year-old and a 69-year-old.

They all died while receiving care at a medical facility, according to the Ministry. The three additional deaths have brought the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country to 85.

Meanwhile, with the 35 additional COVID-19 cases that were recorded yesterday, the total number of confirmed cases has increased to 2,929.

The daily dashboard revealed that the additional case are from Region Four, which recorded 31 cases, Region Three, which recorded 3 new cases and Region Seven which recorded one new case. These cases were detected from 227 samples that were tested.

According to the dashboard, there are 14 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 142 persons in institutional isolation, 931 persons in home isolation and 101 persons in institutional quarantine. Approximately 1,760 persons who were infected with COVID-19 have recovered.
