With the local Covid-19 cases continuing to mount, the annual Mayor’s Cup Inter-Ward/Village Football Championship has been officially postponed until further notice.

This was disclosed by an official release from the event’s coordinating committee. According to the correspondence, “The Mayor of Georgetown, Hon. Ubraj Narine,  will celebrate his 29th birth anniversary on Monday October 12th. The Mayor’s Cup Organizing Committee had planned a series of activities in honour of this occasion. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the rescheduling of these events.  One such event was to be an Inter-Ward/Inter-Village football tournament.
