Twenty-one new COVID cases registered

Twenty-one new cases of COVID-19 were recorded yesterday.

This was revealed through the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard.

The new cases were recorded after some 241 more persons were tested which increased the total number of persons tested in the country to 27,807. According to the regional breakdown of the cases, 19 of the new cases were recorded in Region Six and one case each was recorded in Regions Three and Four.

There are now 966 active cases in the country, 85 of which are in institutional isolation while 881 are in approve home isolation. With that there are eight persons who are patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit. Meanwhile 31 persons are currently in institutional quarantine.

Some 15 more persons have recovered from the virus which increased the total number of recovered cases in the country to 4,034.
