The trial of Stafrei Alexander for the 2015 murder of Terrence Maxwell Thomas is set to commence next Thursday before Justice Brassington Reynolds at the High Court in Georgetown.
Alexander was indicted yesterday morning shortly after the January opening of the Demerara Criminal Assizes at which a jury was empaneled to hear his case.
The charge against the accused is that between December 8th and 11th, 2015 he murdered Thomas.
He has pleaded not guilty to capital indictment.
