Two more men die from COVID, 43 new cases recorded

The Ministry of Health yesterday disclosed that two more persons have died after becoming infected with COVID-19.

The persons have been identified as an 83-year-old man from Region Four and a 90-year-old man from Region Five. They both died while receiving care at a medical facility. As a result of this, the death toll now stands at 184.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 dashboard revealed that 43 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed yesterday of which 24 are from Region Four, 2 each are from Regions One, Six and Three, 4 from Region Five, 3 from Region Seven and 6 from Region Ten.  These positive cases are from 261 tests done yesterday.

The total number of positive cases in the country has now increased to 8, 135.

Additionally, it was revealed that 7 persons are in the COVID-19 ICU, 37 in institutional isolation, 768 in home isolation and 28 persons in quarantine. Some 7157 persons have recovered.
