Chief Works Officer axed

With no explanation offered, the Ministry of Public Works last Friday terminated the services of its Chief Works Officer Geoffrey Vaughn, who has been working at the Ministry for the past 15 years.

Guinea declares new Ebola outbreak

CONAKRY,  (Reuters) – Guinea declared a new Ebola outbreak yesterday when tests came back positive for the virus after three people died and four fell ill in the southeast – the first resurgence of the disease there since the world’s worst outbreak in 2013-2016.

No tax increases

Dear Editor  It has to be pondered how one finance minister can prepare and present the biggest budget ever with no tax increases, in fact reversing several such measures from previous budgets, while another finance minister increased and included several burdensome tax measures in past budgets.
