A South Ruimveldt, Georgetown resident is wanted by the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) in relation to the recent discovery of a quantity of cocaine in a gold miner’s hand luggage at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri.

In a wanted bulletin issued yesterday, CANU said Warren Stuffle also known as Warren Barker is wanted for questioning in relation to the discovery of 1.52kg of cocaine, which was found in Adyemi Hinds’ possession on June 1st, 2021.

Stuffle’s last known address is Lot 3 Aubrey Barker Road, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.

Hinds was arrested last Tuesday night after CANU officers found the suspected cocaine hidden in his hand luggage.

CANU in a press release had said based on suspicion, at about 10:36 pm, CANU officers pulled a small, black bag belonging to Hinds at the screening point scanner.

Officers upon searching the luggage found a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine resulting in Hinds being apprehended.

The substance which was found at the bottom of the man’s luggage was removed by officers at the CANU Headquarters in front of Hinds where a presumptive test was carried out and returned a positive result for cocaine.

At the time, Hinds, who is said to be a gold miner and resident of Iguana Drive, North Ruimveldt, was on his way to the United States of America.

Hinds appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Diamond/Grove Magis-trate’s Court last Thursday. He denied the allegation and was remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to June 29th.
