The police are investigating the fatal stabbing of Bartica miner, Shemar Drakes, 20.
In a statement today, the police said that the stabbing occurred at Suewanda Backdam, Upper Puruni River. Drakes of Third Avenue, Bartica and the suspect were consuming alcoholic beverages and apparently became intoxicated. They then argued during which Drakes sustained a single stab to his lower abdomen. Police are searching for the suspect.
