Three Region Four residents succumb to COVID-19 – death toll at 559

Three persons from Region Four who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died, taking the overall death toll to 559 while another 50 persons have tested positive for the virus. According to the Ministry of Health, the three to have died are an 83-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, both of whom died on Friday, and an 68-year-old man who died on Saturday. All three passed away while receiving care at a medical institution. Meanwhile, the fifty new cases came from six of the ten regions.  Region Four with 32 new cases, Region Ten with 5 new cases, Region Two with one new case, and regions One, Three, and Six, with 4 new cases each. Seventeen persons are currently patients in the ICU, 86 are in institutional isolation, 3 are in institutional quarantine, and 728 are in home isolation. To date 235,131 persons have been tested with 22,982 confirmed positive. A total of 21,595 have recovered.
