The Ministry of Health yesterday said that as of October 06, 2021, five more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 821.
None of the five was vaccinated.

Meanwhile, the ministry yesterday reported that 224 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded. There are 32 persons in the ICU.
As of October 7th, the Ministry said that 365,274 persons have received a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 218, 120 persons have received both doses. In addition, 25,510 adolescents have received one dose of the Pfizer vaccine and 14, 307 of this number have received both doses.
