Headmaster of Mackenzie High School, Haslyn Small, on Monday succumbed to COVID-19.
Fifty-year-old Small of Linden died while receiving care at a medical facility and was reportedly partially vaccinated. The Department of Education in Region Ten announced Small’s death via their social media page while it was also confirmed by the Mackenzie High School administration.
It is unclear when the Headteacher was admitted to the hospital and whether he had spent time in the intensive care unit prior to passing. However, according to information, Small also had an underlying condition.
A number of persons took to social media to express their shock and offer condolences.
