Hemraj Sankar, known as Raymond, was on Monday arrested by a party of policemen from the Golden Grove/Diamond Police Station in connection with a rape in Region Two.
According to a statement from the police, Sankar is wanted in relation to the rape of a child under 16 in the said region in 2016.
He was arrested and placed into custody at Golden Grove/Diamond Police Station and will be transferred to Region Two for the continuation of the said matter.
