GCC Roulette, as well as Ignite secured contrasting wins, while Pepsi Hikers maintained their unbeaten record when the ExxonMobil National Indoor Hockey Championships continued Tuesday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

In the women’s division, GCC Roulette overcame Saints 3-1. The trident of Abosaide Cadogan, Lea Berlie, and Alysa Xavier registered one goal each in the win. For the losers, Nicole Eastman found the back of the net.

GCC Ignite overcame Misfits 3-2. Sarah Klautky etched her name twice on the scorer’s sheet while Aliyah Gordon scored the other goal. For Misfits, Maria Munroe and Romichelle Brummell scored.

In the men’s first division, Pepsi Hikers downed Guyana 40s 6-3. Robert France crafted a hat-trick while Jamarj Assanah added a brace. Scoring once was Aroydy Branford. For the losers, Dwayne Scott scored twice while Chris Low-Koan netted once.

In other results, YMCA Old Fort and Saints battled to a 2-2 stalemate in the Men’s 1st Division. Shaquon Favorite recorded a double for Old Fort, while Leroy Geer and Baraka Garnett scored one goal each for Saints.

Bounty GCC defeated 50 Not Out by a 4-2 score-line. Meshach Sargeant led the way for the winners with a double while Kareem McKenzie and Kevin Spencer tallied one goal apiece. Philip Fernandes was on target twice for the losers.

In the men’s second division, Saints Scorpions stung Saints Sensations 4-0. Baraka Garnett fashioned a hat-trick while Shomere Garnett recorded the other conversion.

Orlando Machado bagged a double while Devin Munroe, Sherwyn Caesar and Brian Asregado scored one goal respectively as Hikers Cadets edged Old Fort 5-4.

 

For Old Fort, Daniel Woolford amassed a hat-trick while Warren Williams scored once. The event continues today at the same venue with another round of group stage matches.
