GCA shortlists 20-man U15 squad for DCB Inter-Association tournament

The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) has named a 20-man under-15 squad for the upcoming Demerara Cricket Board Inter-Association tournament while releasing fixture for this weekend.

According to the GCA’s  Competitions Committee Chairman, Shaun Massiah, the GCA selectors, chaired by Roderick Lovell, selected the players from a series of clinics and trial matches.

The players are, Omarion Allen, Sameer Bhola, Joshua Charles, Brandon Henry, Narindra Isurdeen, Peter Khan, Ryan Khan, Reyaz Latif, Darwin La Rose, Emanuel Lewis, Jonathan Mentore, Dave Mohabir, Nicholas Nieuelder, Dhanesh Persaud, Shane Prince, Lomar Seecharran, Kishan Silas, Ravin Singh, Nicholas Sulker and Kwesi Wilkinson.

While the GCA will continue  preparations with net sessions and practice matches, the squad will feature in a friendly match against Berbice XI on Saturday at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) from 09.30 hours.

Also, the long-awaited GISE/Star Party Rental/Trophy Stall first-division, two-day semi-finals, will unfold over the weekend. Georgetown Cricket Club will host Police Sports Club while Everest Cricket Club will host DCC. Both matches will begin at 09.30 hours.

Meanwhile, the Noble House Seafoods second-division action will get underway at Police Sports Club with the hosts taking on Bel Air Rubis from 11.00 hours Saturday.
