Crandon, Yaw lead ASA College to consecutive wins

ASA College, home to Guyanese national basketball players, Akeem Crandon and Israel Yaw,  recorded consecutive wins over Sullivan County and Hostos Community College respectively.  

ASA downed Sullivan County Community College Sunday 71-60. Yaw bagged 10 points and five rebounds while Crandon chipped in with eight points and as many rebounds.

On Saturday, ASA defeated Hostos Community College 76-67 in their second meeting of the season. Yaw recorded 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocks while Crandon scored four points.

Prior to their positive results, ASA College lost to Monroe College 59-81 on February 3rd. Crandon tallied 15 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and two assists, while Yaw recorded figures of 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.

Presently, ASA’s record stands at 10-6. They have also defeated Dutchess Community College, University of Connecticut at Avery Point, Essex County College, Union Community College, Hostos Community College (1st meeting), Roxbury Community College, Touro College, and Bronx Community College.

Defeats have also been incurred against Raritan Valley, Eastern Florida State, Suffolk, Harcum College and Rockland Community College.
