Team Mc Kenzie, Team Isaacs win titles

Team McKenzie and Team Isaacs won the senior and u14 titles respectively when the South Turkeyen Sports Committee (STSC) staged a small goal football championship on Sunday at the C Field Sophia Tarmac.

Team McKenzie defeated Team Blair 1-0 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended scoreless while Team Isaac prevailed 3-1 compliments of a double from Tyron Isaacs, and a conversion from Antron Osborne. For the loser, Jaquan Osborne netted.

The respective divisional winners were  presented with the championship trophy, with the resulting losers pocketing the runners-up accolade.

Meanwhile, the committee is scheduled to host a King and Queen Domino competition  Sunday at the Sharon Primo Hideout, C Field Sophia from 1:00pm. An entrance fee of $1000 is required per player for participation. The event is being held in memory of the late Gordon ‘Smash’ Primo.

Similarly, the long serving sport enthusiast Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell, will host a two-day Birthday Celebration competition on April 2nd and 3rd at the Vryheid’s Lust tarmac. Matches will be hosted in the u14, u16 and senior sections correspondingly.
