Paramaribo’s SV Ratio FC to compete for Modern Optical Trophy at GFC

SV Ratio FC of Paramaribo, Suriname will arrive on local shores tomorrow to compete in the final match of the best-of-three series in the Goodwill International Masters Football Championship.

This was disclosed by Sheldon Bobb, coordinator and organizer of the event. He informed that the match will be contested for the Modern Optical Trophy at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda, Georgetown, from 19:00hrs on Monday.

The series is currently locked at 1-1. Guyana defeated SV Ratio 2-0 in 2019. Gerald Whittington bagged a double in the victory. However, the Surinamese won the second match in Guyana (1-0) in February 2020 at the GFC ground.

The Guyana team comprises: Andrew Bright, Christopher Barnwell, Tonie Lopes, Selwyn Isaacs, Osbourne Gomes, Ola Pedro, Nigel Denny, Terrence Muso, Rawle Gittens, Ken Harvey, Dexter Layne, Dexter Brandt, Devon Forde, Anthony Abrams, Mark Anthony, Shawn O’Neil, Christopher Williams, Virgil Glasgow, and Dellon Alleyne.

The other sponsors for the event are Bounty Farm Limited and Oasis Café.
