North Ruimveldt, Uitvlugt clinch wins in Milo Secondary School Championship

North Ruimveldt and Uitvlugt recorded hard-fought wins when the Milo Secondary School Football Knockout Championship continued yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

North Ruimveldt defeated East Ruimveldt 4-2 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended 2-2. Prior to the penalty shootout, Akeem Perreira and Calvin Bowlin scored in the 28th and 66th minute respectively for the winner. For the loser, Ome Harris registered a double in the 46th and 56th minute.

On the other hand, Uitvlugt downed Ann’s Grove 4-3. Rockliff Adamson bagged a hat trick in the 30th, 36th and 64th minute, while Germaine Cummings scored in the 31st minute. For the loser, Isaiah Alphonso recorded a double in the third and 47th minute. Adding a goal in the 43rd minute was Naron Jerrick.

The tournament continues today at the same venue with another round of matches. At 17:00hrs, Golden Grove will oppose Buxton whilst Dolphin will engage Charlestown at 19:00hrs.
