Holder, Nobrega spur Lack Ah Sceneto Village Cup triumph

Lack Ah Scene successfully retained their Mocha Village Cup streetball crown, defeating City 3-1 in the championship match Sunday evening at the basketball tarmac.

Witnessed by a large crowd, Sheldon Holder fashioned a double in the rout, while Clive Nobrega added to the scoreline to ensure the title was successfully defended. For the losers, Jermin Junior netted what proved to be a consolation goal.

With the result, Lack Ah Scene pocketed the championship prize of $300,000 and the winners trophy while City walked away with $150,000 and the runners-up trophy.

In the third place playoff, Dell Superbet defeated Agricola 2-0. Amos Ramsay crafted a double to secure the third-place package of $100,000 and a trophy while  Agricola walked away with $50,000 and the corresponding accolade.

The tournament was sponsored by the Guinness Brand, Hungry Helpers, and the Mocha Arcadia Neighbourhood Democratic Council.
