Four teams secure quarterfinal wins at ExxonMobil National School Basketball Festival

President’s College, Kid-Rock Academy, The Bishops’ High, and Chase Academy, earned quarterfinal wins in the Boys U-16 division, when the ExxonMobil National School Basketball Festival (NSBF) continued yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue, D’Urban Park, Georgetown.

President’s College crushed Marian Academy 48-26. Dejaun Grant recorded a double-double of 19 points, and 11 rebounds, with Ezekiel Saul supporting with 12 points, and five rebounds. For the loser, Marion Fiedtkou tallied 17 points, five rebounds, and three steals, whilst Kaden Khan added 11 points.

On the other hand, the Bishops High dismissed Queen’s College 31-25. Micah Williams tallied a double-double of 11 points, and as many rebounds, whilst Yaniel Easton scored 11 points, and five rebounds. Adding six points, and 19 rebounds was Keyan Mars.

For the loser, Owen Hooper netted nine points, and five rebounds, with Ezekiel Griffith the next best scorer on eight points, and five rebounds.

Similarly, Kid-Rock Academy downed Kwakwani 30-23. Teishon Kitt top scored with 10 points, and five rebounds in the win, whilst Jameel Peters added seven points, and six rebounds. For the loser, Cordel Hoyte amassed 11 points, and four rebounds.

A gritty Chase Academy defeated Mackenzie High 15-8. Paul Emmanuel was the primary threat for the victor with 12 points, and 6 rebounds. Anthony Vasconcellos added 3 points, six rebounds, and 12 steals. For the loser, Tyrol Lamazon registered four points and three rebounds.
