Cummings Lodge among schools earning quarterfinal berths in ExxonMobil U14 championship

Defending champion Cummings Lodge, along with West Ruimveldt, Dolphin, and Patentia, earned quarterfinal berths following the Round of 16 wins in the Boy’s division of the ExxonMobil U14 Football Championship yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown.

Cummings Lodge downed Tucville 3-0. Nicholas Watts registered a second half double in the 39th and 42nd, after Duquan Thom had broken the deadlock in the 18th minute.

Meanwhile, West Ruimveldt mauled Westminster 9-0. The duo of Donovan Welcome and Wayne Solomon contributed eighth of the conversions. Welcome scored in the 2nd, 6th, 11th and 12th minute whilst Solomon netted in the 26th, 28th, 29th and 31st minute. Adding to the score in the 37th was Mark Johnson.

Similarly, Dolphin thrashed St Winifred 8-0. Jason Sandiford crafted a hat-trick in the 14th, 39th, and 48th minute, while Tyshawn James added a double in the first and sixth minute. Assisting with conversions in the 10th, 24th and 36th minute respectively were Damani Hardy, Malakai Gowan, and Kellon Alleyne.

Likewise, Patentia crushed New Central 5-0. Omarion Dawson bagged a brace in the 30th and 39th minute, while Devon Anderson, Tristan Roberts, and Shawn Griffith scored in the 16th, 22nd and 24th minute apiece.
