Seven arrested with over 65 pounds of cannabis in Black Bush Polder

Seven men were arrested yesterday afternoon after the police carried out an operation in Black Bush Polder and discovered them under a tent with over 65 pounds of cannabis.

According to information gathered, the men are between the ages of 25 and 46 years and reside in the Central Corentyne Area.

Stabroek News was told that the intelligence-led operation was carried out at Johanna South, Black Bush Polder and led to the arrest of the “suspects as they were sitting next to the suspected cannabis sativa underneath a tent.”

Based on information gathered, the lawmen discovered some 65.7 lbs of suspected cannabis at the location. A further investigation has been launched into the matter.
