GCA/GTT Fibre T10 cricket festival on today

Some 18 exciting matches featuring 24 teams will be played across the capital city in the Georgetown Cricket Association’s GTT Fibre T10 cricket festival this weekend.

While clubs such as Queen’s College, Ace Warriors, 4R Lions, Bel Air Rubis, Third Class, Sophia and Agricola will put one field on the park, club heavyweights, Everest, Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC), Demerara Cricket Club (DCC), Malteenoes Sports Club, GNIC, Police Sports Club, Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO), Guyana Defense Force (GDF) and Transport Sports Club will field two teams.

Matches will be played at Everest, Queen’s College, MYO, DCC, Malteenoes, Transport and GDF.

Matches begin at 9.15 hours while the second match of the day bowls off at noon. The winners of the first-round match up will then return for the second round at 14.30 hours.

The winners in round two will then return on Sunday for the quarter finals and final, which will be played at DCC under lights.
