St. Benedict’s College of Trinidad and Tobago crushed Golden Grove 5-1, when the 3rd edition of the KFC Goodwill Secondary Schools Football Championship continued last evening at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

Jerell Griffith recorded a double in the 16th and 24th minute, whilst Jeremiah Ottway registered a brace in the 33rd and 59th minute. Adding a goal in the 67th minute was Raheem Nelson. For the loser, Shamar Warton scored a consolation goal in the 44th minute.

Meanwhile, Christiansburg/Wismar and SVB Academy of Suriname played to a 1-1 draw. Amani King handed the Linden based unit the initial lead in the 40th minute, only for the Surinamese to level proceedings in the form of Darrel Sijpenhof in the 60th minute.

The tournament continues today at the same venue with another round of matches.
