New party vying for three seats can break stalemate of races

Dear Readers,

It will soon be time for national elections, and our country, once again, may be facing the stalemate of races with the slightest majority and the continuum of discontent.  However, this cycle could be broken by a new party vying for three seats.

This may be realized if the new party comprises three sincere and honourable members from the main ethnic groups (Amerindians, Africans and Indians) who are willing to serve Guyana and its people without lining their pockets.  They should be independent of the other parties, united in ideology, committed to equality, respectful and loyal to all Guyanese and Guyana.  United in this philosophy, trustworthiness and faithfulness to their constituents, they may be the beginning of accountability in Governance.

Surely, these individuals are there in Guyana but do not know it.  It is up to us to show them that they need to embrace this cause and for us to support them so their sacrifices will not be in vain.  Yes, they can effect the changes for Guyana to realize its potential as a single nation – a union of races wanting for others what they want for themselves.

Respectfully,

Stanley Niamatali
