Business process out-sourcing (BPO) company Teleperformance is gearing up to launch its second office later this month and the expansion has seen it amplifying its call for workers through multiple social media platforms.

The new office will be situated in a newly-con-structed five-storey build-ing at Middle and Thomas streets, Georgetown.  Stabroek News visited the building on Wednesday last and observed that the interior was being retro-fitted to meet the needs and accommodation of staff. On the exterior, the com-pany was attaching its brand and signage labels.

In September last year, Teleperformance’s Chief Executive Officer for Colombia, Guyana, Peru and Nicaragua Andres Bernal, Global Deputy COO and President for the Ibero-LATAM region Juan Hincapie, Chief Financial Officer for Teleperfor-mance Andres Barrios, and Guyana’s Country Manager Luis Baretto met with President Irfaan Ali. Baretto said the company updated the President on its operations, its vision for Guyana and the region and about how it intends to contribute to job creation and aiding the develop-ment of Guyana. The country manager, during the fifth anniversary cele-bration in 2021, had announced plans to create an additional 1,000 jobs in 2022. In 2021 Teleperfor-mance had in its employ over 1,200 locals. The company currently operates from a multi-storey building at Camp and Robb streets and the top floor of the Sheriff Medical building on Sheriff Street.

The France-based parent company is considered a global leader in the BPO industry, providing solu-tion design, business optimization strategies, front-office customer support, and back-office services like finance, accounting, collections, and tech support.  Teleperformance has, according to its website, more than four decades of deep, industry-specific expertise and service innovation, offering the market’s most comprehensive service portfolio. Teleperformance operates in 80 countries, serving 170-plus markets and communicating in 265 languages and dialects.
