Foxy Ladies and St. Cuthbert’s Mission recorded contrasting wins when Guyana Football Federation Women’s Developmental League Playoff commenced yesterday.
At the Cottonfield ground, Foxy Ladies edged Essequibo 4-3 on sudden death penalty kicks after regulation time ended 2-2. At the end of the initial round of the penalty shootout, the score was tied 3-3.
Prior to the aforesaid end, Jencel Edmonson bagged a double for Foxy Ladies in the 21st and 51st minute. On target for the losers in the 31st and 60th minute were Aliyah Henry and Keisha Thomas respectively
Meanwhile, St Cuthbert’s Mission crushed New Amsterdam 5-0 at the St. Cuthbert’s ground.
