Marian Academy, Bishops’ High score lopsided wins

Marian Academy and the Bishops’ High recorded lopsided wins when the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) Georgetown Regionals continued on Saturday at the Marian Academy hard-court, Carifesta Avenue.

Marian Academy crushed Queen’s College 48-29. Jaden Simon recorded a double-double of 21 points, 16 rebounds and five steals.

Assisting with figures of 11 points and three rebounds was Kaden Khan whilst Brandon Moore added 10 points and six rebounds. For the losers, Tevin Nedd scored 11 points.

The Bishops’ High downed School of the Nation’s 35-12. Matthias Arrindell led the victor with 11 points and five rebounds, while Micah Williams tallied nine points and four rebounds. For the losers, Ethan Raghoo scored six points and four rebounds.

On Friday at the same venue, North Georgetown brushed aside New Campbellville 36-6. Sean Duncan was the primary threat for the victor with 16 points, three rebounds and as many assists.

St. Stanislaus College mauled St. Rose’s High 62-16. Brandon McCoy top scored with 20 points and four steals, whilst Jabari Lovell added 10 points. For the loser, Chad Martins scored eight points.
