Beacons, the Guyana Defence Force, and Club 45 tallied contrasting wins, when the inaugural Isun’s Health-Conscious Master’s Football League continued on Sunday at the Georgetown Football Club ground, Bourda.
Beacons brushed aside Westside FC by a 3-0 score. Anthony ‘Awo’ Abrams was the architect of the rout as he crafted a hat trick in the 15th, 40th, and 48th minute.
On the other hand, GDF squeaked past Fruta Conquerors 2-1. The combination of Sheldon Hope and Randy Benjamin found the back of the net in the 20th and 45th minute respectively.
For the loser, Jimmy Gravesande etched his name in the scorer’s sheet in the 35th minute.
Meanwhile, Club 45 defeated Alpha United 3-2. The trio of Freeman Fordyce, Quincy Price, and Sherwin Pinder made their presence felt with goals in the 15th, 30th, and 47th minute respectively.
On target for the losers in the 32nd and 40th minute were Shawn Dublin and Raymond Jones.
The competition continues on Sunday at the same venue. The other sponsors of the event are Banks DIH Ltd, Star Rental, Trophy Stall, and Leading Edge-Guyana.
