Qatar scouting for embassy location here

The visiting Qatari Government delegation was on Thursday led on a guided tour of possible sites for the Qatar Embassy here by Director of Projects-Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA),  Omar Narine.

A release from the CHPA said that the team also visited the Windsor Estate Housing Development and other Government and Private Sector development project sites.

The delegation was on a three-day visit to Guyana and met with a number of key government functionaries and private sector companies. On Wednesday Chief Executive Officer of the Central Housing and Planning Authority,  Sherwyn Greaves and Chief Development Planner,  Germene Stewart made presentations to the delegation on investment opportunities in the Housing Sector, while  Stewart presented on Guyana’s Preliminary Development Concept for Silica City.

Guyana recently opened an embassy in Qatar.
