Businessman in death of boy, 13, on station bail

The police in Region Two have confirmed that the businessman whose canter ran over and killed 13 year-old  Rovin Williams has been discharged from the hospital and is on station bail. Legal advice is pending. Region Two Commander Khemraj Shivbaran told Stabroek News that the man was discharged from the hospital and placed on $300,000 bail.

The businessman was said to be reversing out of his yard at Adventure, Region 2, when Williams fell from the canter and was crushed.  Williams was rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries there.

This newspaper understands that Williams had dropped out of school and was employed by the businessman to pick mangoes.
