Vish Pharmacy assists national U19 rugby squad

Another company has come to the assistance of the national Under-19 rugby squad as they prepare for the Rugby America’s North Zone competition set for Jamaica next month.

The latest company is Vish’s Pharmacy located at New Market Street whose owner Vishwanand Narine donated pharmaceutical supplies to the team.

Team Manager Sherlock Sam and three players Nidel Narine, Samuel Bellamy and Ephraim Mc Lennon were on hand to receive the donation during a simple ceremony at the pharmacy.

Troy Yhip, treasurer of the Guyana Rugby Football Union, disclosed that the touring squad will be selected this weekend.

The RANS Under-19 tournament will take place from July 12-17 at the UWI Mona Campus in Jamaica.

The young local squad has intensified training at the National Park with sessions daily from 16:30 hours under the watchful eyes of National Coach Laurie Adonis and Sam a former national player and coach.
