St. John the Baptist won the Bartica Primary Schools Football Championship, defeating Potaro Strikers on Friday at the Community Centre ground.

St. John the Baptist prevailed 3-1.  

Meanwhile, Two Miles Primary defeated High Achievers 4-3 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended 1-1 in the third place playoff.

A total of 11 schools within the region participated in the one day event which was organized by the Department of Education, Region # 7, and the Guyana Teachers Union (Bartica Branch). Support was also provided by the Bartica Football Association.
