The Round of 32 segment in the Digicel Schools Football Championship will commence today at the Ministry of Education and National Insurance Scheme (NIS) grounds, Carifesta Avenue.
At the NIS ground, Dolphin will oppose Brickdam from 12:00hrs, whilst Friendship tackles West Ruimveldt at 14:00hrs, and Marian Academy engages Charity from 16:00hrs.
Over at the Ministry of Education ground, Tucville will take aim at Bartica from 12:00hrs, whilst Vryman’s Erven locks horns with Waramuri at 14:00hrs, and St. Ignatius faces off against President`s College at 16:00hrs. In the final fixture, Kato matches skills with Carmel at 18:00hrs.
The event will also continue tomorrow and Sunday with the remaining matches in the section.
The winner of the competition will receive $1,000,000 towards a school project and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth place finishers will pocket $500,000, $300,000, and $200,000 respectively towards a school initiative and the corresponding trophies.
