Twenty-eight-year-old, Ishmell DeYounge, of Lot 62 West Ruimveldt appeared yesterday at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus to answer to assault and threatening language charges both of which he denied.
It is alleged that on 3rd August, at Houston, East Bank Demerara, the defendant unlawfully and maliciously assaulted Dalton Adams and used threatening language on him.
The Police Prosecutor had no objection to bail but requested that the defendant be placed on a bond. The defendant was then placed on a bond to keep the peace by Magistrate Isaacs-Marcus until the completion of this matter. He would be imprisoned for two weeks if he defaults.
The matter was adjourned to 28th August for statements.
