A 10-month-old baby died after two cars collided at Dennis Street, Sophia yesterday.
The dead baby has been identified as Zainad Boyer.
Reports are that the baby was travelling in a car, PYY 7263, with his parents when it collided with a taxi, HC 8812. Eyewitnesses say that the taxi driver was speeding when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the car.
At the GPHC the baby was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are ongoing.
