Police on mobile patrol duty in Regional Division #6, acting on information, went to a fisherman’s residence at Sheet Anchor, East Canje Berbice, at about 7.30 pm yesterday, where they found six bulky parcels wrapped with transparent plastic and black plastic bags, along with bed sheets, towels, and a jersey.
The ranks examined the parcels, and they all contained a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis.
The suspected narcotic was weighed and amounted to 3,845 grams.
A 26-year-old fisherman was arrested and is in custody assisting with the investigations.
