Speeding ambulance slams into car on Corentyne highway

A speeding ambulance heading in the direction of Skeldon yesterday afternoon slammed into a motor car along the Corentyne highway however there were no reported injuries. 

Based on information gathered, both vehicles were heading in the direction of Skeldon. However, the driver of motorcar PWW 439, some distance away from the ambulance then put on his trafficator to head into a nearby street when the ambulance on the outer lane with sirens on sped through hitting the car. 

The collision happened just around 5 pm at Number 63 Village, Corentyne.

Several of the cars which stopped at the location described the driver of the ambulance, PAC 4274, to be reckless as they claimed that he almost hit two cars prior to the collision. 

Questioned at the scene, the driver of the ambulance said  that he was heading to the Skeldon Hospital to pick up a child, while the driver of the car almost broke into tears trying to understand how the collision transpired.
