Dear Editor,
The teachers have spoken loud and clear! Give us increases in allowances, preferably tax free. rather than salary increases. No tax man to contend with.
No response from their union on this bombshell request by their members. How come the union missed this was what teachers wanted in its many negotiations on salaries? Was the union not attuned to or listening to the teachers or was it just pushing its own agenda for its own purposes? Where does this leave the union? Weakened?
