Wagner nets brace as Tigers maul Victoria Kings

Western Tigers and Santos recorded wins in the KFC Elite League on Sunday evening at the Eve Leary Stadium in Kingston, Georgetown.

Western Tigers crushed Victoria Kings 4-0 with Randolph Wagner netting a double. Wagner opened the scoring in the 30th minute, slotting home into the back of the net after receiving a squared pass from Malachi Granum inside the penalty area.

Jermaine Beckles then doubled the lead in the 35th minute, dribbling his marker after racing onto a through pass before rifling a powerful shot into the roof of the net.

A 3-0 advantage was then realised in the 43rd minute with Wagner completing his brace with a diving header into the back of the net after receiving a cross from Raushan Ritch. Daniel Wilson sealed the result in the 65th minute with a free-kick from outside the centre of the penalty area which settled into the roof of the right corner.

Meanwhile, Santos downed Milerock 3-1. Darron Niles bagged a double in the 26th and 73rd minutes while Stephon Reynolds scored in the third minute. On target in the 63rd minute for the loser was Quacey Cadogan.
