ExxonMobil/Petra U14 winners receive prizes

The official presentation of prizes in the ExxonMobil/Petra U14 Football Championship took place Saturday and Monday, respectively.

This is according to a press release from the tournament organisers.

The girls champion, Waramuri, received their prizes on Saturday in Anna Regina, while the boys winners, Bartica Secondary, and their female counterparts, who finished third, also received their prizes on Saturday in Bartica. ExxonMobil Guyana Community Relations Advisor Ryan Hoppie presented the prizes.

Girls runners-up, President’s College, as well as fourth-place finishers, Tucville Secondary, alongside boys third and fourth place finishers, Bush Lot and New Central, were at the presentation on Monday.

Meanwhile, on Monday in Georgetown, girls runners-up President College and fourth-place finishers, Tucville Secondary, were presented with their spoils, while third and fourth place finishers in the boys section, Bush Lot Secondary and New Central High, also received their prizes.

ExxonMobil Guyana Community Relations Advisor Lasawhna Prescott presented those prizes.

The girls champion, Waramuri, received their prizes on Saturday.

Boys Prizes

·         4th place: New Central High: $40,000 worth of football gear

·         3rd place: Bush Lot Secondary: $75,000 worth of football gear

·         2nd place: Waramuri Primary Top: $150,000 worth of sports equipment to be used in the training of the school’s football teams.

·         2023 Champion: Bartica Secondary: $300,000 towards sports equipment and the fabrication of a large tent

Girls Prizes

 4th place: Tucville Secondary: $40,000 towards sports gear and water dispenser

·         3rd Place: Bartica Secondary: $75,000 towards sports equipment and the fabrication of a large tent (joined with the boys team)

·         2nd place: President College: $150,000 towards the resuscitation of the school’s playfield

·         2023 Champs: Waramuri Primary Top: $300,000 towards a laptop, printer, and ink
