Suriname’s Sadhoe defeats Guyana’s Lewis in the ‘Developmental Boxing Championship’

Suriname’s Donn Sadhoe defeated local lad Joshua Lewis when the Guyana Boxing Association’s (GBA) ‘Developmental Championship’ commenced last evening at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.

Sadhoe prevailed over Lewis of Guyana in their 43-45 kg bout via referee stoppage with 42 seconds remaining in the second round.

Meanwhile, Andrew Rodgers of the New Amsterdam Boxing Academy defeated Lennox Lawrence of the Guyana Police Force Gym via a referee stoppage at 1:42 in the second round in their juniors 48–50 kg encounter.

Similarly, Ryan Rodgers of the Forgotten Youth Foundation defeated Jaheem Ashby of Pace and Power via a second round stoppage with 1:11 on the clock in their junior 51-53 kg fixture.

In other results, Junior Madray of Pace and Power Gym defeated Aaron Fileen of Vergenoegen via a points decision in their schoolboys 25-27 kg encounter.

Meanwhile, Akeem Quintin of Pace and Power bested Ezekiel Witwright of the Vergenoegen Gym via a points decision in the Schoolboys 33-35 kg bout.

Also, Nicholas Ashby of Pace Power defeated Ryan France of Vergenoegen via a points decision in their 33-35 kg schoolboys fixture. Up until press time, several other encounters were underway. The competition will culminate today at the same venue.
