Hetmyer-led Guyana National U-15 team heads into encampment today

Guyana’s national Under-15 male cricketers will head into encampment today to commence a one-week preparation ahead of their participation in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars Under-15 tournament slated for Antigua later this month.

The Adrian Hetmyer-led side will be taken through their preparation by Coach Latchman Yadram, with training sessions from March 14–21 at the Malteenoes Sports Club ground, Thomas Lands, Georgetown.

Following the one-week encampment, the team will depart on March 24 for the 50-over tournament.

Hetmyer, the nephew of Guyana and West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer, will have prolific opener Emmanuel Lewis as his deputy in the 14-man squad.

The squad was selected following the inter-county 50-over competition, which Demerara won in early February.

The team is being sponsored by OES Guyana Inc., whose sponsorship will assist in preparing and outfitting the players for the regional tournament, set to kick off on March 26.

The squad is as follows:

Parmeshwar Ram, Justin Dowlin, Danvir Seegobin, Emmanuel Lewis, Adrian Hetmyer, Rovaldo Pereira, Richard Ramdehol, Khush Seegobin, Sohail Mohammed (WK), Shamar Apple, Brandon Henry, Gilbert Griffith, Jathniel Nurse, and Arif Khan.

Reserves: Trilok Nanan, Reyaz Latif, Bhomesh Lall, Feeaz Baksh, Kumulchan Ramnarace, Eron Benjamin, and Mickle Sharma.
