Guyana lost their second match in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Women’s T20 Blaze, going down to the Leeward Islands by four runs owing to a Jahzara Clayton hat-trick in the final over last evening at Warner Park, Basseterre, St. Kitts, and Nevis.

Needing nine runs off the last over, the Guyanese could only muster five, as pacer Clayton recorded a hat-trick in the final three deliveries while only conceding four runs to secure the tense win.

Batting first, the Leeward Islands recorded 104/9 during their allotment. D. Saxena scored the most with 42 runs, while M. Clarke was the next-best scorer with 19 runs. In reply, Guyana fell short as they were restricted to 100/9, losing five wickets in the final two overs of the contest.
