Guyana snapped their two-game losing streak in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Women’s T20 Blaze, dismantling Barbados by 42 runs last evening at Warner Park, Basseterre, St. Kitts, and Nevis.

Batting first, the Guyanese recorded 108/6 in their allotment.

Shabika Gajnabi top-scored for Guyana with 52 runs at the top of the order, with Kaycia Schultz the next best scorer with 15 runs. Shemaine Campbelle added 12 runs. In response, Barbados were skittled for 66 in 19.5 overs, as spinners Plaffiana Millington and Ashmini Munisar recorded 3-6 and 3-8, respectively. Schultz supported with 2–13.

At one point, the Barbadians were 28-1 in the sixth over, only to lose their remaining nine wickets for 38 runs. Kycia Knight top-scored with 17 runs.
