Navindra Dhanwa and Elisha Campbell, the Managing Directors of Tokyo Motors, have donated three new motorcycles to the Guyana Police Force Transport Department.

Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’, Calvin Brutus, received the donation on behalf of the GPF yesterday at the Tactical Services Unit (TSU) Drill Square, Eve Leary.

The police said that Brutus, in brief remarks, thanked the company and stated that the bikes will be used to enhance the Guyana Police Force’s (GPF’s) ability to travel in remote areas, particularly in developing locations that are growing and can attract more crimes. Since vehicles and vans are unable to move swiftly in these areas, these motorcycles will be very helpful, he said.

Under its Strategic pillar of Partnership, the release said that the GPF continues to foster and strengthen relations with the private sector and corporate donors to enhance and support safer and more secure communities.

Dhanwa and Campbell said this initiative of donating three motorcycles is to aid in the GPF’s “tireless effort in traffic enforcement and promoting public safety”.
