Eteringbang sealed their berth to the semi-final round in the Regatta Football Championship following a 6-1 quarterfinal win over AK Galaxy on Monday at the Bartica Community Centre ground.
Albert Palma led the rout with a hat-trick in the eighth, 57th, and 74th minute, while Alex Bolivar and Jose Lopez netted in the 43rd and 52nd minute respectively. Adding to the score in the 23rd minute was an own goal. For the loser, Rudolph Raphael netted in the 28th minute.
On Sunday at the same venue, Eteringbang edged Beacons 3-1 on penalty kicks, after regulation time ended 1-1. Prior to the aforesaid ending, Palma scored for the eventual winner in the 15th minute while Shaquille Hopkinson equalised for the resultant loser in the 17th minute.
Also, Agatash downed Lazio 2-1. Christopher Simmons and Dishon Stephen scored in the 29th and 52nd minute respectively. On target in the loss was Joseph Cox in the 75th minute. The tournament continues tonight with the semi-final round at the same location.
At 19:00hrs, Rivers View will oppose Agatash United while the feature contest will pit Potaro Strikers against Eteringbang from 21:00hrs.
