Mangra, Harry capture title at GYSBI & Hanoman Golf Championship

An exciting weekend of golf at the GYSBI and Robert Hanoman Golf Teams Tournament held at the Lusignan Golf Course, East Coast Demerara, culminated in Maxim Mangra and Bridgelall Harry taking top honours.

Putting their skills on display, Mangra and Harry emerged victorious, securing the first-place position with their outstanding performance and teamwork.

The runners-up were Jaipaul Sukhnanan and Feroze Barkat, who showed fortitude to clinch the second-place spot with a consistent performance throughout the tournament.

Rounding out the top three positions were Paton George and Chet Bowling, who showcased their golfing skills with a commendable performance on the course.

Speaking at the end of the tournament was Robin Muneshwar, Executive Director of GYSBI, who shared, “I want to commend the LGC for such a wonderful tournament. We are optimistic that this will be an annual tournament. Golf is a sport that should be promoted in Guyana, especially with the influx of foreigners. During the tournament, the course looked impressive, and the players enjoyed themselves.”

The results for the tournament are as follows:

1st: Maxim Mangra and Bridgelall Harry: (HC 8, Gross 69, Net 61)

2nd: Jaipaul Suknanan and Feroze Barkat: (HC 5, Gross 66, Net 61)

3rd: Paton George and Chet Bowling: (HC 11, Gross 72, Net 61)
