PM, van Nes discuss EU-LAC Digital Alliance

Prime Minister Mark Phillips met with the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Guyana, René van Nes,, at the Office of the Prime Minister on Camp Street in Georgetown on Thursday.

A release from the Office of the Prime Minister said that discussions centred on several areas, including the potential of the EU-LAC Digital Alliance, which creates a strategic framework to foster substantial bi-regional cooperation across the full spectrum of digital and space issues.

Additionally, via a virtual meeting, van Nes introduced Phillips to the satellite service provider, Hispasat, where the company briefed the Prime Minister on its profile and the potential of satellite telecommunications infrastructure.
