$2.6b Eccles to Mandela Avenue Road unveiled

With speed limits varying from 30 – 80 km/h, the Eccles to Mandela Avenue alternative road on the East Bank of Demerara will be equipped with smart speed-monitoring systems to ensure compliance with traffic regulations, according to President Irfaan Ali.

Refurbished Nappi health post commissioned

As part of government’s commitment to expanding health facilities across the country, and to ensure all citizens have access to quality health care services, the Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony on Tuesday commissioned the refurbished $13.6 million Nappi Health Post in Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo), according to a Ministry of Health release.
